My sister Joanne Farrugia has always loved style and fashion.
Six years ago, Jo was devastated to discover that after giving birth to her gorgeous little girl Zoe, she had breast cancer. Her priorities changed and regaining her health and taking care of Zoe became her sole focus in life.
After a year of treatment and our many prayers, Jo was finally well enough to start enjoying life again. Whilst undergoing treatment and driven by her love of fashion she started sewing and making head wraps for her family and friends while all the time experimenting by using vibrant prints and beautiful fabrics. One of the key design traits that has became now a key feature to the range is that all our scarves fit securely and cover the head properly and comfortably.
These key fundamentals of color and comfort resulted in more and more people seeking her out and placing demands on Jo which resulted in her starting the company known as Z&Me.
Joanne understood better than most that cancer, chemotherapy and hair loss can be a traumatic experience and her goal was to provide women with an easy to use, secure scarf, which will make them feel better and look good as they recover.
Over the years Z&Me has gone from strength to strength, however after being cleared for five years, Jo’s cancer once again devastatingly returned with further complications.
In memory of my sister and with a shared love of fashion, I have the privilege of continuing the Z&Me brand and will continue in over seeing the design and manage the supply of her comfortable and funky head wraps to stockists all over Australia.
Through this website we can sell direct to the public however her range can also be found in boutiques and various retail outlets.
Jo has spent years donating her time as a mentor to other breast cancer survivors and has aligned herself with charities such as Chicks in Pink at the Mater Hospital South Brisbane to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research. Her functional and stylish head wraps which provide secure coverage are poly cotton lyrca, machine washable and in quality fabrics – they are just another example of Joanne’s continual willingness to help others.

We love Chicks in Pink
